Chiastolite is a a form of andalusite which occurs in the form of stout crystals, exhibiting the axis and angles in a different color from the rest and producing a colored cross. The "cross-stone" was, in yesteryear, associated with deflection of the "evil eye". Chiastolite is a powerfully protective stone. In ancient times it was used to ward off ill wishing and curses. It is now used as a sign of devotion, especially, devotion toward awareness, which can, in itself, dispel negativity. It has the property of transmuting dissension into harmony. This is a creative stone with the power to dispel negative thoughts and feelings. It transmutes conflict into harmony and aids problem-solving and change.
