The Origin of these Roses are from East of Noble, Cleveland County Oklahoma. Barite crystallizes as tabular crystals, aggregates, plate-like masses, fibrous masses, and occasionally, stalactites. The mineral occurs in a range of colors including colorless, blue, white, gray, yellow, brown, and brownish rose.
The desert rose is a barite concretion symbolizing the realization that all things are possible; it occurs in the brownish-rose color. It is an excellent stone for use in healing of the earth.
In the Native American religion, it is said that Indian Warriors, who had shifted from the physical world to the spiritual world, returned at night and carved the barite roses. The scattering of the roses over the vast area was affected so that those on the physical plane would not know where the warriors had congregated. The energy of the roses can be used to enhance love, to facilitate clandestine meetings, and stimulate teamwork. The message which the energy of the rose conveys is that the most sacred areas of ones life and are those in which ancient hatred has been transformed to present love.
